Lijiang is located in Lijing Prefecture in the
Northwest of Yunnan province. Lijiang Old Town is a historical and cultural city in China and the world's cultural heritage.It has build in the Southern Song Dynasty and of 8-9 hundreds history.
In the ancient western Chinese city of Lijiang, the number of annual visitors climbed from 1.7 million to 4.6 million in the 10 years since it was listed in 1997.World Heritage designation has been a mixed blessing, however, for one of Yunnan's two
existing World Heritage sites, the
Old Town of Lijiang.
